Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Great tasting, easy recipe.
Mine took forever too cook (closer to 5 hours)
These worked! Would like to know if I can double the recipe though?

glad you like it.
ashleigh.pickford:
sure thing. Just use same weight
These were done for 90 minutes in a very low temperature oven to ensure they were totally dry and crisp. Hawkins2013:
May I ask how long you cooked for doing smaller ones? They look great! jonasson4:
Is it possible to use icing sugar instead of blitzing white sugar?
These are fantastic! My daughter requested meringues the other day, we made these and she and I were both very impressed. Didn't have gel colours so used a little food dye as I wasn't sure how much we'd need, will add a bit more next time as they looked great with marbled colour. Thanks for the recipe
Can this recipe be used with food colouring or does it need to be gel?
