I don't have cloves and I only have ground cardomon. Would it be okay to sub the Cardomon and leave out the cloves

Barbandcraig: The recipe does not say how much the ingredient will coat, perhaps you used too much past for what you were making? It is a lot of turmeric in the recipe i see!

Judhop: I had a container of paste in the freezer for about 6 months - that was a large container because my chillis had run mad so I used them up. It seemed just fine right up till when I scraped out the last of it.

leroyduo: don’t forget you can freeze it too so if you have a chilli bush and it is going wild, then make paste and freeze it. It stays soft in the freezer so easy to take out small portions. ☺️

Barbandcraig: sorry to hear this wasn’t to your palate. Hopefully, you will find something that is just right for you. ☺️

Roselyn: so sorry I am only now just catching up with your question (don’t know what has happened to my notifications??!!) Anyway, if you have habaneros, then I would be cutting back the number I use or this will blow someone’s head off! If you are going to head into brave waters, then I would use sparingly. Good luck!!

Hey I want to make this but we only have habenero chilli bushes at the moment. Thinking maybe I will have to reduce the amount of chillis or which sort do you use? Can you use the dry chillis? Or should I just experimentCooking 9

Extreme disappointing. Tasted like a plate of turmeric. Will not make again.
