Ingredients

Hokkien Noodle Chicken Curry

  • 1 red capsicum
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 can baby corn spears, drained
  • 1 package hokkien noodles (thick)
  • 500 g chicken breast, 5cm cubes
  • 1 can coconut cream
  • 1 tbsp vegetable stock concentrate, basic cookbook
  • 4 tbsp green curry paste
  • 150 g water

Recipe's preparation

  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2.  1.  Slice capsicums & carrot into julienne strips and place into              varoma dish along with baby corn spears,  seperate and lay           hokkien noodles on varoma tray

     

           2. Slice chicken into cubes, approx. 5 cms, set aside

     

           3. Add coconut cream, vegetable stock paste, curry paste & water     to jug, mix ingredients together with lid & mc in place, spd 3, 2     seconds

     

            4. Insert butterfly & add chicken to jug

     

            5.  Put lid on and place varoma into place, reverse, 25 minutes, varoma          temp, spd 2.5 

     

            6.  Place hokkein noodles & vegetables into thermoserver, pour          over chicken and sauce mixture on top and mix together, put        lid on thermoserver  &  let sit for 3 mins.

     

            7.  Serve with even amount of noodles, vegetables, chicken and          sauce

     

Tip

Add any vegetables you like, i.e brocolli, snow peas, onion, water chestnuts 

I used store brought green curry paste.

Vegetarian version omit the chicken add extra vegetable, tofu

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
