Ingredients

  • 1 litre Milk
  • 130 g arborio rice
  • 100 g raw sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 piece Lemon peel
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla bean Paste, or a mixture of vanilla paste and vanilla extract

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grate lemon peel on speed 7-8.  
  2. Place all ingredients, except the sugar and egg yolks, into the bowl. Cook 45 mins,Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" , 90º speed 1

  3. Add sugar and egg yolks and cook for a further 10 mins,Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" , 90º speed 1

  4. Allow it to cool down in the fridge for a few hours. You can eat it warm but it will be a bit runnier. When ready to serve, sprinkle the top with cinnamon.

    Worked perfectly! I also added the scraped out seeds from one vanilla bean which gave it a gorgeous vanilla taste. Arborio rice works best.

    I accidentally put everything in from the beginning and it worked out really well tmrc_emoticons.) the rice was 100% cooked. Yum'

    Love this recipe! I use bonsoy soy milk in it as we are dairy free and it turns out perfectly.

    This recipe is awesome- I followed the directions - paid attention to where people commented and it is the ULTIMATE rice pudding, I actually have to stop making it cos I eat it all on the same day!

    I would not add more rice as I tried 180 grams listening to one of the other comments, it's great but doesn't need it the measurements are perfect.

    I used arborio rice ,turned the sugar into Castor sugar , make sure you mix the egg yolks in and use the butterfly too - sooooooo yummy thank you tmrc_emoticons.D

    Hi, whats 1 piece of lemon peel? is that the whole rind of one lemon, or just a stip of rind?
