- 600 g Oranges (include 1 lemon), - the lemon helps it to set
- 200 g water
- 500 g sugar

Use a knife to quarter the oranges (and lemon) and take out the pips. Peel off some of the rind if you prefer less in your marmalade. Weigh the fruit in the TM and chop for 5 secs on speed 5.
Add the water and cook for 10 mins at 100 degrees on speed 2.
Weigh in the sugar and cook again for 20 mins at 100 degrees on speed 2.
Pour into sterilised jars.
Tip
Great on toast in the morning .....
Cost - less than $1 per jar !!!

Thank you for a great recipe. I had no idea marmalade was so easy to make. I did reduce the sugar and cooked for longer. Made a beautiful, thick and full of flavour marmalade. Will definitely make again.

Peel the orange and lemons finely and then either chop by hand or in the Thermomix, depending on whether you like the peel or not. (I do half by hand very finely). It's important to then remove all the white pith from the outside of the fruit, otherwise it will be bitter. I add half the weight of fruit with sugar. I cook on Verona and cook for 10 minutes before I add the sugar. Cook longer if you want it firmer. I don't mind runny marmalade.

Lovely tasting marmalade however it was really quite runny after following the recipe. As per other suggestions, I extended cooking time and added some additional sugar. Was still quite runny when pouring into jars but has set a little bit better after being in the the fridge over night.
With excess citrus at the moment marmalade was on my mind, I made this today, it is a beautiful delicate and fragrant recipe, not sure if it will set, I did the 'wrinkle' test but didn't really wrinkle too much. I'd have wanted it to be clearer but it does taste so fresh. I used 300g of sugar, I peeled the rind and hand cut it as I like the look of julienne orange rind, I then peeled them so hardly no pith. The lemon I put in with skin but removed the pips. Thank you for a simple, user friendly recipe 😊🍊🍋

I made a citrus mix-1/2 grapefruit, 2 limes,1 orange & 1 lemon.
I finely shredded the zest of one lime and the grapefruit (discarded all the pith).
I found that the 5 secs on speed 5 wasn't enough to chop the fruit- did it twice and the w x 1 second turbo.... great tasting result
