For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Base Mixture
  1. Line a lamington tray with baking paper.
  2. Roughly chop Mars Bars into pieces and add to bowl.
  3. Grate Mars Bars 10 seconds / Speed 9
  4. Add Butter and golden syrup to bowl and melt 4mins / 100 degrees / speed 2.
  5. Add rice crisps and mix together, 20 seconds / reverse / speed 3.5.
  6. Using the back of a spoon, press mixture into a lined tin and pop into the fridge while you move onto the next step.
  7. Chocolate Top Layer
  8. IMPORTANT: Thoroughly clean and dry mixing bowl. Any moisture in the bowl can make the chocolate seize.

  9. Grate chocolate 10 seconds / speed 9.
  10. Add Butter to chocolate and melt 5mins / 50degrees / Speed 3 (longer if neede).
  11. Remove base from fridge. Spoon chocolate over the base and spread out evenly. Return to fridge to set.
  12. Once set, cut into pieces and store in a container with a lock - it won't last long!
