Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Crush biscuits for 2 Seconds, speed 4-6 and set aside.

    2. Use turbo to crush clinkers until they are broken up, but not too small, as you want to see the colours in the slice.  Set aside with the biscuits.

    3. Add butter and condensed milk to thermomix bowl for 2 minutes, 60 degrees on speed 2.

    4. Add the biscuits and clinkers to TM bowl on reverse counter-clockwise operation, speed 4 until mix is combined.

    5. Put mix into slice tin and press flat. Clean thermomix bowl and dry to ensure no water remains.

    6. When mix is cool, melt chocolate in TM bowl for 2 minutes, 50 degrees on speed 3. Pour over the clinker base, spread thinly across the top.

    7. Place into fridge until set.  Cut into squares and enjoy.

Tip

The top layer of chocolate is meant to be spread quite thin.  You may like to melt more chocolate (a full block) if you like it thicker.

I like to double the recipe to use up the full can of condensed milk and large block of chocolate.

I'm yet to make this in my thermomix, however this recipe is a family favourite. I sub the clinkers for other lollies such as bananas, malteasers, raspberries and peppermint crisp bars. As other have mentioned, I put more chocolate on top. Thanks for the conversion of a family favourite!

Tastes wonderful! I accidentally chopped the clinkers too fine and I think it needs 200g chocolate on the top as it was hard to spread over all of it.

Yummy. I accidently chopped up the pieces too small in clinkers but still tasted good. Thanks.

Soooooooo good! My whole family loved them and I keep getting asked to make more. I made a rocky road hot chocolate for my hubby just using the leftover chocolate that was in the bowl. He said it was the best hot chocolate he had ever had and constantly talks about it. Thanks!

I use to make this prior to the addition of the thermomix to our family and I can not believe how much easier and tidier my kitchen is after making it this way. Thank you for sharing

This is a hit in our family. I have made it numerous times with clinkers & also made it with subbing clinkers with maltesers. Try it - simply devine. I use a whole block of milk chocolate for the top as we like a thicker, hard choc top - personal preference however. Doesn't last long in our house so I sometimes make a double batch. This slice can be frozen too. Thanks so much for the share of this recipe.
