Free, Dairy Free EASY Chocolate Cupcake/Cake

  • 500 g plain flour
  • 440 g white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 45 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 150 g vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 470 g cold water

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180° and prepare muffin tray (makes 24) or cake tin.

    Add plain flour, white sugar, salt, bicarbonate of sofa, unsweetened cocoa powder into the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec / speed 5
  2. Add vegetable oil, white vinegar, vanilla essence and cold water to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec / speed 5
  3. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and mix for 5 sec / speed 5
  4. Pour mixture into cupcake moulds or cake tin.

    CUPCAKES - bake 180°C for 25 min or until skewer comes out clean. Ice with your favourite icing if desired. (see next step for cake) see tips.

Store in a covered contained overnight for a more moist muffin/cake

Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
