Ingredients
Gluten Free Orange Cake
- 2 oranges, peeled and halved
- 220 g Butter, cubed
- 3 eggs, large
- 135 g sugar
- 300 g raw almonds
- 50 g tapioca flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder, gluten free

Turn on your oven to 180 degrees or 170 fan forced
Grease a 20cm springform pan or cake tin
Add raw almonds to your bowl and mill at speed 9 for 30secs, to make your almond meal.
Tip out into a separate bowl.
Do not clean mixing bowl (I love this step!)
Add Oranges (no white pith) and Butter into your Bowl and mix for 8secs / spd 8
Add almond meal to the bowl
Add in 50g of Tapioca
Add in Baking Powder, Eggs & Sugar
Combine 20secs speed 5
Depending on your oranges & eggs, results in the consistency. The mixture should be smooth for pouring into your cake tin. If it needs to be thicker, add in more tapioca as preferred, if it needs more moisture, add some milk of your choice.
Pour into your cake tin
Bake in the oven for 50mins or 40mins Fan Forced, until skewer comes out clean.
Gluten Free Orange Cake
Tip
NOTE - If you have almond meal already simply skip step 3-5.
You can also use GF Plain or Self Raising Flour.
If you want to make cupcakes the baking time is approx 18mins.
