Meet our Mother-Daughter Consultant duo
As Thermomix Consultants, mother Sue and daughter Kelly share a love of food and healthy eating which they have both turned into leadership positions with Thermomix! In the spirit of Mother's Day, we asked them to share their journey with us, as well as a recipe that is very special to them both.
The first time Sue and Kelly saw Thermomix.
Sue: I first heard about Thermomix from Gillian from Innisfail. 6 months later and an overnight stay, I was sold! I had to think of a way to sell it to my husband Cliff, so said I decided to join as a Consultant to help pay for mine. I could see how it was going to help me with my allergy to wheat. I introduced Kel soon after as I knew as a health conscious person she would love it.
Kelly: I could see Mum was incredibly passionate about Thermomix. As we live in separate states, she would call me and all she talked about was this amazing kitchen appliance. This went on for 6 months until a visit to Sydney had me hook line and sinker when I saw the Thermomix in action.
The journey to becoming a Consultant.
Sue: I could see that Thermomix was going to take off and I wanted to be part of this amazing product. I was constantly telling Kelly that she should have one but until she saw it for herself, it was the typical Mother daughter thing of me trying to persuade Kelly to give it a go. It took another year of Kelly owning a Thermomix before she took on the role of Branch Coordinator in NSW; I was very excited and proud for her to be part of the same company.
Kelly: Mum inspired me to become a Consultant so I could earn the Thermomix and make some healthier food choices. She was in Sydney doing the Junior Group Leader training with Grace, so both Grace and Witek came over to my place to do a demonstration with Mum and wowed us all. I became a Consultant that night!
The best part about working together.
Kelly: Sharing a common interest and passion connects us. Holidaying at Thermofest together and celebrating our achievements makes it all more special having Mum there. We are both proud of each other!
Sue: I love being the proud Mum. It is great sharing my Thermomix journey with Kelly, knowing we have something in common. I think we have been a great support to each other. I love sharing the fact that she is doing so well and love sharing our holidays together through Thermofest.
The benefits of working towards the same goal.
Kelly: It has been a huge help supporting and inspiring each other through our journeys. Having someone who knows you the best and can just listen, or can challenge you on developing yourself and your business is very beneficial.
Sue: Knowing that I have her support and being able to bounce things off her has been great. Having that common goal is very special.
Their favourite Thermomix recipes.
Kelly: Sue’s Chocolate Fudge is a recipe I used to make with Mum as a child. It involved melting the chocolate in a double boiler, lots of pots and pans and measuring cups. I have converted the recipe for Thermomix, which makes it super easy! Click here to try it for yourself!
