Sam’s tomato sauce
- 1000 grams tomatoes
- 380 grams onion
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- 60 grams Ezy Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
- 395 grams sugar
- 1 teaspoons salt

- Quarter 1 green apple and place in thermomix
- Quarter 300grams onion and place in thermomix with apple
Chop onion and apple together 5 sec/speed 5 - Place 1000grams quartered tomatos in thermomix
Speed 5 / 5 Seconds - Using varoma basket over the sink, pour tomato/onion/apple mixture into varoma bowl.
add 1 teaspoon of salt to the mixture and stir to sift out as much liquid as possible
OPTIONAL:If you have the time you can sit it for 30 mins to drain. - Place tomato mixture back into thermomix bowl
- Add mustard powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Add curry powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Add sugar 395grams
- Add ezy sauce 60 grams
- Cook Speed 1 / 60 mins
cook at 100°C
simmering basked instead of MC on lid - Blend 10 seconds / speed 7
- Pour into sterilised jars

Tip
If sauce is too thin at the end, mix up some cornstarch in water and add into mixture, cooking for a further 3 minutes
