- 125 g rice
- 1 banana, approx 125g, peeled

Preheat oven to 180C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Weigh rice into mixing bowl.
Mill 30secs/speed 9 stopping every 20 secs to push grains from the top of the lid back into the bowl.
Repeat Step 2 until rice grains are a fine powder.
Break Banana into peices and add to the mixing bowl and mix 10 secs/speed 5.
Transfer mixture to a separate bowl.
Form mixture into 8 - 10 8cm long log shapes and place on baking tray.
Place in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Allow to cool completely before giving to your little one to enjoy
Tip
1. Use any type of rice for this recipe.
2. Substitute banana for fruit of your choice (pureed would work best).
3. Form mixture into any shape you like.
4. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Are these safe for a 5 month old refuse just started purees? Is it ok if they are a bit grainy?
I made the mixture but haven't baked them yet.... Had to stop and feed baby :/
I used mango and banana - found it to be chewy on the inside. Is this the consistency or is it suppose to be harder - like the store brought ones. Maybe need to add more rice for a harder consistency.
Tastes nice tho.
I had already made these with banana before and am now trying with pears. They're in the oven and smell good Hopefully my boys like them (baby boy/almost 3yrs old cant eat rice so the older boys eat them/love them)
I followed the recipe and mine were successful. Our little boy loves them!

MTolmie: Mine were fine after being defrosted. I was the only way they would have lasted. No way could a baby eat all of them in three days. 😜

I am looking at some recipes for my little one for next year (due in 3 weeks) and am hoping to be able to make instead of buy due to preservatives etc etc
You said you froze these - how long can they freeze for? Were they ok when defrosted to take to either day care or even just to throw in nappy bag to take to grandparents etc?
