Fabulous, i used fresh pears and added a handful of cashews, almonds and LSA mix as well as used Gluten Free flour.  I used Cacao instead of cocoa and halved the amount of sugar and chocolate. Turned out lovely and fluffy.  Thanks for a great recipe.

    Delicious!

I used tinned apples and brown sugar. Wasn't too keen on the batter, but the cooked muffins are lovely, ready for lunchboxes tomorrow

I didn't have tinned pears, so just used fresh ones. I quartered and cored the same quantity (425gm). I also added vanilla essence, used chocolate buttons not bits, and added fresh pear slices on top. See variation below:

Quarter & core 420gm pears, then Speed 8/5-6seconds, scrape down sides.Cook 3min, 100deg, speed 1. Set aside & allow to cool. (It will probably go brown but this doesnt matter as the chocolate batter is brown anyway!)Note - there is no need to add liquid of pears as per original recipe,  the fresh pears should be moist enough.

Follow recipe up to last step before putting into muffin tin.Add half to one teaspoon vanilla essence, chocolate bits and 2 finely diced pears to mix. Mix on reverse, speed 4, 10seconds.Scoop into patty pans/muffin tin. Top with alternated choc buttons and small slices of pear.Cook as per recipe, 180deg oven for approx 15min or until skewer inserted comes out clean.
