I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Place garlic, onion, carrots and herbs into TM bowl and pulverise for about 20 seconds on speed 8.
Scrape down sides of bowl and add oil
Saute for 5 mins 100deg speed 2
Add all other ingredients and cook 30 mins on varoma on "Gentle stir setting"
Use the basket instead of the MC to help with sauce spitting. Although I like to steam meatballs in the varoma for 30 minutes above it while the sauce cooks and this works well.
Pour into sterilzed jars.
Cook a little longer to make thicker and if you wish to make tomato paste.
This makes approximately 2 x 500 g jars for me and so far it keeps for up to 2 weeks but I haven't kept it any longer.
sauce
Tip
use sundried tomatoes pulverised as alternative to tomato paste!
recipe can be halved.

yum, just made this today! I've only had my thermy one week,so I thought I should start out with something simple
I did make a few changes after reading these comments...i went with about 1tsp of sugar rather than the 2 heaped tbspoons...about 60g of oil instead of 75...and 150ml water instead of 200ml.
I used one 400g can of chopped tomatoes & 3 fresh chopped tomatoes and made up the extra 100-ish grams by throwing in chopped mushrooms.
I also left the salt & pepper out as I found it didnt need them at all! Turned out delicious!
Love this sauce, perfect every time and the whole family love it 😍
Nice but I found it too sweet. I will make it again with no sugar. Still used it though as I really liked the flavour.
the sauce is cooking at the moment, and it smells so good. I'm making it as the base sauce, and the end of cooking I will add tuna and brocolli and fill cannelloni, add cheese on top and pop in oven! Thanks for the recipe
Great sauce. I used it to pour over meatloaf and heaps left over which are now in bottles ready for pasta this week. I wouldnt change anything. Thank you.
This is a lovely sauce I only use 2 teaspoons of sugar and cut back the oil to 2 tablespoons really great to have in the fridge thanks
I love this recipe and it is always a favourite with family and friends. I use 150g of tomato paste, 50g of oil, 150g water and 1 tbsp of sugar.
I mix it throuh penne with fried mushrooms and spinach. Perfect!
Thank you!
