I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Add all ingredients to the Thermomix and brew the tea for 15 minutes if you are using fresh berries or 18 minutes if they're frozen / 110 degrees / speed 1.5 then allow to cool and steep with the lid off for a further 5-10 minutes.
2. Pop the lid and MC back in place and blend the tea for 1 minute / start at speed 4 and gradually increase to speed 8 or 9 by the time you have 25 seconds left on the timer.
3. Allow to cool slightly if its still piping hot as it should be served warm and sipped slowly to help soothe a sore throat while it provides much needed nutrients to help you knock that cold or flu on the head!

Tip
So I was feeling like I was coming down with a head cold and couldn't stomach the thought of a honey and lemon drink, so I went looking into the fridge and pantry for some fresh ideas and I found blueberries...
Did you know that blueberries contain a large number of critical antioxidants, vitamins and minerals packed inside each tiny blue burst of deliciousness? Mother nature at her best!
They contain phytonutrients, iron, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, folate, potassium, beta-carotene, copper, choline and vitamins A, B6, C, E and K.... and I'm pretty sure I probably still missed some in my quick search to see if they would do the trick

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
