I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. add to thermomix cooked quinoa, dates and first 500 grams of water . if adding additional items or flovours now is the time to add.
2. Mix on speed 9 for roughly 2 -3 minutes.
3. During this time prepare a nut milk bag or muslin cloth and a bowl.
4. Once this has finished check to see quinoa has been blitzed to your liking - if so start adding additional water at roughly 250 grams at a time and blitz until your desired likeness. Some like there milk to be really thick - others not so much.
5. Once you have reached your desired thickness/creaminess pour milk into nut milk bag and squeeze out all the milk. (please note that there will not be miuch quinoa left in the bag).
6. Pour milk into a jug and it will be ready for use.
This milk is great in smoothies, cooking or to drink as is.
This recipe is only a guideline and can be adjusted to suit your own tastes, for example you can add in the vanilla paste or chia or even leave the dates out.
I have been known to skip the step involving the nut milk bag as i generally use this milk in my smoothies so i figure it will be getting a further blitz in the theremomix anyway.
Enjoy

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
