Oat and Date Bites
- 120 grams pitted dates
- 1/4 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 1/2 level tsp Boiling water
- 150 grams Butter
- 110 grams white sugar
- 110 grams brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 150 grams plain flour
- 1 level tsp ground cinnamon
- 300 grams rolled oats

- 1. Preheat oven to 180 deg C. Line 2 Large baking trays with baking paper.
2. place dates into mixing bowl and place MC into mixing bowl lid. 5 sec/sp 6. Set dates aside in small bowl and add Bicarbonate of soda and boiling water and stir together.
3. Add butter and sugars to bowl and mix until pale and creamy. 1min/ sp3/ MC on
4. Add egg an mix 20 sec/ sp3/ MC on.
5. Add Flour, Cinnamon, Oats and Date mixture. With the aid of the spatula combine all ingredients 30 sec/ sp 4. The mixture will be soft.
6. scoop level tablespoons of mixture on to trays 3 cm apart and bake for 12 mins or until slightly browning. Allow to cool on trays as they will still feel soft.
