H, so is it OK for TM31 recipes to be done in TM5?

many thanks

What I usually do is look for a recipe in the cookbook that came with my Thermomix (or in any of the other Thermomix cookbooks) that is similar to the one that I want to convert. From my understanding medium stovetop heat is 100 and high is Varoma. For your example of BBQ sauce, I would use speed 3 since that would keep it steadily stirred while cooking. Here is a link which tells more about conversion. Even though the instructions involve TM31, the basic principles are the same for TM5.

You are fortunate that all TM31 recipes work fine for your TM5. I have the difficult task of converting some TM5 recipes into the smaller TM31 bowl and I've not found these conversions so easy. I'm often tempted by TM5 recipes posted on this website.

I am a new TM5 owner, and while I love trying out the recipes in the BCB and here on the forum, I would love some advice on how to convert "normal" recipes for the TM.

Does anyone have any suggestions - here are the instructions for a bbq sauce that I want to make:

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Let cook for 4-5 minutes, or until thickened to desired consistency.
