I am in Australia, I have a TM 5 that has already had a fault with the scales and now the error C153. It is costing me $448 to fix this. $149 to look at it and $299 for parts. Below is the breakdown of the $299 fee. It feels like a LOT of money to fix. Considering the initial outlay, I expected it to last longer in a problem free state. I don't think I'll get it fixed again and question if I'll get a replacement.

Hi. I have the C153 error message coming up. And, as the customer above - who / how do i get the machine fixed/serviced. I am a New Zealand customer and I have the lastest model.

Any assistace would be appreciated.

Hi,I am getting the same Error 153 message. Used the machine yesterday and today it won't read the chip today. I've wiped the chip as instructed by no change. Very frustrating. It woun't read any previous recipes and says there is  a communication issue with the chip. Want's the machine to be rebooted every time. I'd also like to know if the machine needs to be returned and if this is a wider problem as it came out of the blue.

Does anyone have any experience with this error?

It came up yesterday and despite me trying about 6 to 7 times throughout the day the error kept occurring and causing the machine to shut down. Great over the Easter long weekend!

in addition the arms were locked so the food I was cooking was stuck in the bowl.

I thought I'd try again this morning and the arms unlocked so I cleaned the bowl and thinking I had avoided a trip to the service department I used it again. However the same error occurred but luckily this time the arms unlocked so I could remove the bowl.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Does it need to be serviced? And how do I arrange this as I no longer have a consultant?
