Easy Fried Rice. 2 teaspoons peanut oil 2 eggs, beaten lightly 1 teaspoon sesame oil 4 bacon rashers (280g), chopped coarsely 1 medium brown onion (150g), chopped coarsely 2 trimmed sticks celery (150g), sliced thickly 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger 3 cups cold cooked long-grain white rice 100g small cooked shelled prawns 425g can baby corn, drained, sliced thinly ½ cup frozen peas (125g), thawed 4 green onions, sliced thinly 1 tablespoon soy sauce Heat 1 teaspoon of the peanut oil in heated large wok or heavy-base frying pan. Cook half of the egg; swirl wok to make a thin omelette. Remove omelette from wok; roll omelette and cut into thin strips. Repeat with remaining egg.Heat remaining peanut oil and sesame oil in wok; stir-fry bacon until brown. Add brown onion, celery, garlic and ginger; stir-fry over high heat until vegetables are just tender. Add rice, omelette and remaining ingredients to wok; stir-fry, tossing, until well combined and heated through. Any other meat, chicken, pork etc coulld be used. I get my best fried rice results if I slightly under cook it and use the following day. It has more time to loose a lot of moisture and will fry rather than stew.

Hi guys I am a new tm5 owner and wanting to make a nice healthy version of fried rice. It is my partner and daughters favorite and I cringe at the thought of what goes in to chineese store ones.

If there is anyone that can help me find a recipe I would be so very greatfull, am still trying to work out my way through the forums which is a little daunting but I am tring.

Thanks!
