Recipe Chip

Just a quick note to say DO NOT keep your Recipe Chips on the fridge when not in use.

My TM 5 ( not yet a yr old) had gone in for service as the knob would loosen and come off. After it was fixed and returned (approx 1 wk) I went to use it again ( prob another wk after I got it back) and the recipe chip wasn't being recognized ( it would say "recipe chip disconnected" when it wasn't and an error code would come up). As instructed I hadn't sent the chip with the machine but put it on my fridge for safe keeping. I rang Thermomix and after trying a few things the girl on the phone mentioned that it could be that the chip had been on the fridge and another one was sent out.

When I received it and put it on, all was working properly again.

When I purchased the TM 5 the consultant waxed on lyrically that this new machine with the chip was great as one could store all the magnetic recipe chips on the fridge when not in use.

i don't know of this has been reviewed by TM but I would suggest not to do it, not on a Stainless Steel fridge anyway.
