No, did not notice it playing up, it just wouldn't turn on one day. And there were no signs of food in or around it. Apparently they can get in throught the air vents... so freaky!

Oh my god what! Did you notice it playing up and when they repaired it they told you there were cockroaches in it? Were they attracted to it because there was food in it or the heat o fit.. I just got a TM31 yesterday and cockroaches are my ultimate fear - i would freak if that happened to me.

My TM31 had to go in for repairs... and it was because of cockroaches! I have never had problems with any other kitchen appliance due to cockroaches so this was a surprise! But if they could get into the TM31 once, they could do it again... so does anyone know if they can get into the TM5? Or alternatively, is there some kind of cover available that zips up around the Thermomix? Thankyou.
