Mochi is basically traditional Japanese sweet rice (special kind of rice) cooked and then pounded into a smooth paste.

They have machines that do the kneading  (mochi makers) in Japan but the motors in them are very strong and the action is kind of like a bread kneading. As you can imagine the motor needs to be pretty strong because this rice kind of dough is very tough and sticky. Since we have Thermomix's, I am sure someone clever could come up with a conversion. Wink Any takers .....PLEASE
