Yes you can reduce the amount of oil.......

Hi everyone, yes you can reduce the amount of oil. We'd recommend halving the amount and monitoring the ingredients (eg, onions) that are sautéing. You may just wish to increase the speed by 0.5 to avoid it sticking. If half works then you can experiment dropping it even more.

Thank you for making a comment, nice to know i am not the only one. I am also trying to loose weight after the birth of my son who has just turned 2 but finding it difficult and thought the thermomix would help

I'm wondering the same thing! I've had my TM since Australia Day and have started to cut down on the amount of oil in recipes but was a bit nervous to at the start. All I used previously was perhaps a spray of olive oil in a pan before cooking so 50g of olive oil, regardless of how good an oil source it is, freaks me out. Not to mention the fact that everyone says they lose weight when they start cooking with a TM but I have gained (and I have baby weight to lose so I don't want to be gaining!)...TM is my absolutely most adored thing (after my kids and hubby!) but finding low fat recipes has been tricky for me.

Sorry to hijack your question...just wanted to let you know I have thought the same!

Hi i am a new owner and i just cooked the bolognaise and for someone who does not use oil in cooking could not believe the quantity. If a recipe has oil in it do we have to use it or can we just leave it out please. Thank you
