I have my TM31 for 1 and half years. The measuring cup has been cracked and i don't think it will last long. And also the lid of the varoma as well that I seldom to use it. Will I have the replacement for both??

Does anyone know if the new lids are less likely to break? I just want an MC and Varoma lid that will last the "10-20 years" my consultant indicated it should. Particularly concerned about on-going availability of TM31 replacements given the release of the new model.

Maida, I agree about the cleaning brush. I bought my TM this time last year and ended up ordering a cleaning brush off the website. It does make a difference to cleaning up. I also ordered two new MCs because mine cracked within six months and I put up with till it split across the top. Don't know if material was SAN because I threw it away as soon as new ones arrived yesterday. I just assumed MCs crack with heat and need to be replaced.

Have had thermomix a bit over a year I think and noticed tonight that the spatula plastic has flaked off exposing metal. I do wash it in the dishwasher cause I was told it it is dishwasher safe, could this be what's causing it?

My mc has been replaced twice, the newest one (3) seems so far to be perfect so hopefully the problem has been resolved.
But my Varoma lid is now cracking. My thermomix is 12 months old.
I must add that customer service has been excellent from Thermomix. There has never been any issues with having the MC replaced.

I was about to purchase a new MC, Veroma lid and spatula but thought I should google "Thermomix cracked" first and came up with this post. - looks like I am not the only one having issues.

Mine too started cracking from the first week.
It has galiently held up for nearly a year, but didnt survive the fall from the kitchen counter..
