  • 200 gram Self Raising Flour
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 80 gram sultanas
  • 1 g egg
  • 160 gram Milk plus extra for brushing

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees(fan forced) and line a baking tray with paper
  2. 2. place the self raising flour, baking powder and butter into the TM bowl and blitz for 10 seconds on speed 9 or until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs[/size]

  3. 3. Add the sultanas, milk and egg, salt and caster sugar and mix for10 seconds on speed 4 reverse or until combined
    4. use the dough function to mix for 40 seconds

    5. pour onto a floured surface and gently work the mixture which is approximately 3 cm thick

    6. coat a round cutter in flour and cut out your scones. Place them close together if you want them almost touching on your baking tray. Continue until you have used all the mixture
  4. 7. Brush with a little milk and place the tray into the oven for approximately 12 minutes. The scones are ready when they begin to turn golden brown and make a hollow sound when tapped.

    8. carefully remove the tray from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving

Tip

Sous-videCan be converted more to tmx grams with more practice...I was trying to do this at same time as making this for the first time inmany years and looking after a sick toddler so apologies it's not fully in grams!!Enjoy cut in half with butter on top. Yum!
