I agree with other comments that this is too crumbly, however I found that icing it and then setting in the fridge/freezer helps a lot!
In keeping with the healthy theme (and while the slice was baking), I made some healthy-ish icing that worked beautifully: 50g raw honey, 20g cacao powder, 70g coconut oil and 10g vanilla extract ....blitz for 10 seconds on speed 4. Apply to the slice while hot as its easier to spread and then freeze. Tastes exactly like chocolate crackles, minus the guilt!!!!!!

Yummy but mine too was dry and crumbly.....

I used half butter half cocconut oil and also added a dash of honey hoping to combat the crumble but alas, no luck.

I'm sure if I iced it it would help but I don't need the extra calories!

    Great alternative, thankyou.

I tried a few modifications, so think next time i will substitute a third of the coconut oil with butter, and add 50g honey in addition to the sugar already in the recipe.

Super crumbly and a bit bland, might add more sugar and try butter instead of oil (or half half maybe) next time

Not sure on the coconut oil. Tasted a bit like Copha. Was a bit crumbly too. Icing helped hold it together....Kids still enjoyed it.
