- Juice & Rind, 1 Lemon or Orange
- Butter, 170g
- eggs, 4
- Milk, 50g
- plain flour, 250g
- baking powder, 1 tbsp

- 1. Preheat oven to 170c
2. Blitz Sugar and Rind for 10 Seconds/Speed 8
3. Add Butter and Eggs, mix for 20 seconds/Speed 5
4. Add Milk, Juice & Flour, mix for 30 Seconds/Speed 6
5. Add Baking Powder, mix for 5 Seconds/Speed 6
6. Pour batter into greased cake tin
7. Bake for 45 - 55 minutes at 170c
8. Once cake is cool, ice cake using Buttercream recipe

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31).
