I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Defrost 2 pastry sheets. With a fork poke holes all over on both sheets.
2. Place in preheated oven on 200 degrees. Cook for around 9 minuets or until golden brown.
3. Once brown flip over to brown the other side if it isnt already brown.
1. Place vanilla essence, butter, sugar, corn flour and custard power into mixing bowl. Turn on for 10sec/speed9
2. Add in egg yolks and milk. Turn on for 10min/90degree/speed4
3. Once cooked, place aside in glass bowl. Push cling-wrap down on top of the custard with no air bubbles to help prevent a skin on top. Leave to completely cool down.
1. place icing sugar and milk into mixing bowl and mix 10sec/speed6
Spoon the custard onto one of the pastry sheets, place the another sheet on top of the custard, then spread the icing. And enjoy!

Tip
1. Just make sure you allow enough time for the custard to cool. It does take a bit.
2. You can also use the royal icing recipe from 'the basic cook book' - Thermomix.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Could I do the custard without the custard powder? Or what could I replace it with? More cornflour/sugar or something?
