I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place basil, mint & coriander into TM bowl.  Chop 2 secs., sp.6. set aside.

Pour stock, sugar, fish sauce & 400 mls water into Tm Bowl.

Place ginger, onion, garlic, star anise & cinnamon into the rice basket. Place into the TM bowl.

    Cook for 20 mins, 100 degrees, sp.3.

While stock is cooking, prepare noodles according to the packet instructions. Drain well (Varoma bowl is good for this ! )

Divide noodles among warmed bowls, then top with the very thinly sliced beef. (yes it is still raw - the hot stock will cook it)

Using the spatula, remove the rice basket. (the onion, and spices are now discarded).

Pour the hot stock into the bowls over the beef and noodles.

    Top with the bean sprots.

Serve garnished with generous amounts of the chopped herbs, a little chilli and a wedge of lime.

Tip

Sliced snow peas are a great addition to this Pho dish. As is shredded Bok Choy to add some extra bulk.

Soooo yummy! I tweaked this for what i had but used as an overall idea to do. Used prawns instead of beef and thermo veg stocked mixed with water instead of liquid stock.
Was really yummy! Would be good with bok choy and brocolini next time i reckon

Easy and delicious! I didn’t chop herbs in the bowl, just plucked them and added on top of meal! Will be a go to speciality in our house

Hubby loves his pho and was really happy with this.

I used 1ltr Campbell's Chicken stock and 250ml beef as I had them in the pantry and this combo worked really well and I will continue on with this combo in future.

How has no one bought up that the method says 'add garlic' and there is no garlic in the ingredients list. I added two cloves crushed for good measure.

It is a tasty recipie for when you dont have the time to make the full, longer version. I prefer my corriander and mint just ripped up ontop of the broth instead of minced.

    Impressive!!
totally easy to make and tasty as. Of course it's not as good as traditional Vietnamese pho but it's pretty close! This will be a staple in my house thanks for sharing! ☺️
