I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1.) Peel the skin off your green mangoes with a potato peeler.
2. Cut the flesh away from the seed - get as much flesh off as you can without including any of the seed.
3.) Add Mango flesh, Green apple, red onion and garlic to TM bowl and chop 2 secs | speed 5, set aside.
4.) Add ginger, red chilli to bowl and chop 5 secs | Speed 6| scrape down side
5.) Add mango and apple/onion/garlic mix to TM bowl, add dates, sultantas, spices, salt, vinegar and water and cook 5 mins | varoma |sp 1 | reverse with MC cap on, then remove MC cap and cook for a further 5 mins | varoma |sp 1 | reverse.Describe the preparation steps of your recipe6.) Add 300gms brown sugar and cook 50 mins | 100 deg | Sp soft | reverse with varoma basket sitting on top. This lets the steam out but also catches all the drips and any spitting.
7.) Cook for a further 10-20 mins | varoma | Sp 2 | reverse You should be able to tell if the chutney is ready, as it will be thick and sticky, and it will 'gel' when tested on a cold plate. Bottle in hot sterile jars. This recipe makes approximately 1 litre of chutney.
This is a rich, unctuous, sweet and spicy, sticky chutney, that is delicious with cold meats, dolloped on the side of a bbq plate, it's delicious with cheese, excellent on sandwiches and I have a dear friend who loves it so much she claims it can be eaten with a spoon! It can be blended and mixed with a little olive oil to be used as a glaze for meats or roasted vegetables and is brilliant with curries

Fantastic...never thought of this. I use shop bought black tahini to make a home made version of vegemite. Folsom Bathroom Remodeling
Gosh. I've just started my 2nd batch and put the brown sugar in to early. Hopefully it won't affect it 😬

Wow wow wow
i don't like chutney, but omg this gets ✅
I got a box of very very ripe mangoes,
I used just 450 mango pulp (no apple )and it is just fantastic, I've made it with or without chilli it's just super delicious,
you could use it on anything according to hubby who put in on sausage sandwich 😂
thank you so much
Love this Chutney thank you. My Hubbie keeps telling me how nice it is.
served it on cheese board as well as had it with meats. Thank you for sharing
Everyone that has benefited from me making this has rated it high and extremely delicious. I substituted the allspice with mustard seeds and used white vinegar. Definetly easy to put together and very yummy.

i doubled the recipe as I have so many green mangoes - still only used 3 - and swapped pink lady apples for the green apples and raisins for the sultanas. Genius recipe with an amazing flavour and so easy to boot. Thank you.
Great recipe - had to make a few times as i had so many mangoes! Loved how easy the recipe is, and it tastes great on a cheese platter also!
I love this recipe! Unfortunatley it was a poor mango season this year, and after raiding all my usual trees i only managed to find 5 green mangoes that were fiercly guarded by green ants. I braved the ants, did the Green Ant dance to beat them off, and ended up with 3 jars.
I gave two away for Xmas and now only have one to last me through to the next season
I may have to go and buy some mangoes for another batch...
I gave this a go last night after a few of my neighbours mangos fell from the tree early. I could not stop licking the spoon - YUMMO
Can't wait to try it in our picnic tomorrow and there is so much I will be sending a jar to the above mentioned neighbour and my dad will love it in his curry.
Thanks for an easy recipe
Yum, made this for Xmas presents will be making a few more batches while my mangoes are still green
