- Place bowl onto Thermomix, weigh 120g flour and 1/4 tsp salt into bowl and place aside
- Insert butterfly whisk, add 1 egg and 50 gram sugar, 30 seconds speed 4 "Counter-clockwise operation"
- Put flour and salt into bowl, add 180 grams milk and 1 tsp vanilla, 15 seconds speed 4 "Counter-clockwise operation"
- Heat fry pan with a knob of butter, when hot pour pikelets into fry pan and cook till bubbles form then flip over and finish cooking

The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
