Dry ingredients
- 180 grams dried chickpeas
- 210 grams spelt rolled oats
- 100 grams Rapadura or Raw Sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp baking soda (bicarb)
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 70 grams dark choc chips
Wet ingredients
- 1 banana, ripe, mashed
- 60 grams coconut oil, melted
- 70 grams plain natural yoghurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 170c
Weigh in dried chickpeas.
Grind on sp 10 for 1 min.
Add oats, rapadura, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. DO NOT add choc chips yet.
Mix sp 4 for 5 seconds
Add banana, coconut oil, yoghurt and vanilla extract.
Mix sp 4 for 10 seconds.
Add choc chips
Mix "Counter-clockwise operation" sp 3 for 5 seconds
Place tablespoon size drops onto baking sheets, press slightly to flatten a little. Bake for 17 mins.
Tip
Try substituting chocolate chips with nuts, saltanas or seeds.

Thanks heaps for this recipe! Didn't have any dried chickpeas so I used a tin instead, adding it with the wet ingredients as the other poster did. I had to increase the cooking time but that was probably the added moisture of the chickpeas and also my oven is rubbish.
Next time I'm going to try choc chip & macadamia, with the dried chickpeas as recommended.
Thanks for a lovely recipe! Mr 3 loves them, and I feel good knowing he is getting some protein in his treat! I used frozen pre-cooked chickpeas rather than grinding dried ones,and it worked well, bikkies were just a little chewy.
I made these just now. Thanks for.the healthy recipe. Kids.are loving Them. I.put 60g sugar, 1 tbsp rice malt syrup, 2 bananas, 2 tablespoons dessicated coconut and.I used rice bran oil.oil. As ran.out.of.coconut Oil.
