1. Place dates in bowl. Blitz dates 10 sec, Speed 10. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
2. Add the bananas, chia seeds (and the soaking water) or (eggs) butter or Ghee and vanilla essence into the bowl and mix for 25 seconds, speed 5 until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl sift the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and bicarbonate soda).
4. Fold in the date/banana mixture from the thermomix into the flour until well combined. Pour mixture into the prepared loaf tin. Drizzle 1 Tablespoon of maple syrup over the top.
Place in the oven and cook for 50-60 minutes test with a skewer. Once there is no stickiness on the skewer take pan out of the oven - cool for around 10 mins. Take the loaf out of the tin and put loaf onto a rack to ensure that it doesn't sweat in the tin and become soggy on the bottom.

TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
