Such an easy recipe to follow. Turned out beautifully. Thanks for posting it. 5 Stars given
I have found, however, that it doesn't work with eggless lemon butter. I have found a recipe for eggless lemon butter that I'm about to try in the thermomix (5) and it doesn't use cornstarch/flour. If it works, I'll post it.
I also found the consistency wasn't the same as commercial, however, some of the commercial cornflour is made with wheat rather than corn, so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Julz.
Didn't give me a good consistent nor thicken my dish
Good to know we can make our own without any nasties. Thank you
Was relieved to find this as I'm about to make choc egg free yogo but had no cornflour. Only thing I would suggest is it should come with a warning! The noise of corn kernels at speed 9 has left my ears sore
hello mccafferty
if you keep it stored dry it should be good at least for a year

Hi there.yes you can use it to thicken dishes. I use it to make custard and gravy.
Can you use this for thickening dishes or only for baking?
