I'm sorry to leave a 2 star. We just didn't LOVE it. Seemed quite dry. Needed 2 x cans of tomatoes maybe? Needed more rice. It was almost like a meatloaf in texture. Definitely needed vegetables. But I wouldn't recommend, nor try again. Sorry x
Loved this recipe!!! For some obscure reason, I had run out of tinned tomatoes, so I used a jar of Dolmio Hidden Veg that I had in the cupboard and it was delicious, probably could have used a bit more liquid. Miss 10 thought it was awesome, especially the crunchy bits of rice!
Loved this recipe. Thankyou. Just added a few extras.
Used fresh herbs including chilli, basil, thyme and oregano added in Step 3. Added extra veg also celery, carrot, capsicum chopped at speed 5 for 5 sec at step 4. Added peas at end before going into oven. Used only 120g light tasty cheese. Didn't have tomato paste but would add next time.
I have the fussiest eaters in the world, so I laways dread cooking something new in case they won't eat it. This was an absolute winner though and they even came back for seconds and ask for it for lunch the next day.
I prepared it in advance and then ut it in the fridge until dinner time and chucked it in the oven when I was ready. Perfect meal for fussy eaters and a busy Mum.
Thanks
Added veggies thinking it would add to the flavor, but still found it bland
I made this for a quick sunday lunch. I didn't add the beef mince as i didnt have any, same with the mixed herbs but added some fresh sage instead, i also had 4 tomatoes (instead of tinned tomatoes) i needed to use up so chopped them on sp 5 for 3 seconds after sauteeing the onion and garlic along with 7 silverbeet leaves and 2 celery sticks. Also added a cup or so of water so that it wasnt dry. Very versatile recipe. Husband hates risotto or pasta bake but loved this even though its a mix of both. Winner!!
Yummy & easy! 4/5 family members like it. It makes a lot. Good with some zucchini or orther veg added at step 3.

Sorry, not a fan, found it bland and quite dry. Kids were happy with it though!
Very tasty but a little salty for me. I'll just add 1/2 tbs of veg stock paste next time. And maybe a bit less cheese eg. 200g. I added celery, carrot and red capsicum too. Will definitely make again for a quick meal and another use for good old beef mince. Thanks!
Yummy & so easy! We actually got two dinners out of this. Will add some more veg next time.
