Ingredients
Fake Away Special 'Fried' rice.
- 2 carrots diced small
- 100 g corn kernels or baby corn - frozen or tinned
- 200 g frozen peas
- 4-5 bacon rasher, rindless, Chopped, pan fried or add to varoma when veges get added.
- 1/2 onion
- 20 g sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 300-350 g basmati rice or long grain rice
- 3-4 eggs, pan fry as omlete and slice to add at end
- 2-3 tablespoons kecap manis
- 2-3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1-2 portion cooked chicken breast - shredded., pre cook chicken before hand so it's ready to go in the varoma for last part of cooking.
- 1 portions chinese bbq pork, sliced from deli at woolworths/coles
- 900 g water

- 1. Weigh peas, carrots & corn into the varoma dish. set the varoma dish aside.
2. Put onion & garlic into TM mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds, speed 6. Scrape down the bowl.
3. Add the seseme oil and chopped bacon to saute for 5 minutes, 100C, speed 1 "Counter-clockwise operation" . One finished, scrape out into a bowl and set aside.
4. Don't wash the bowl. weigh 900g water into TM bowl, insert simmering basket and weigh in rice. wash rice under tap and put back in thermomix bowl. Put lid on mixing bowl and put varoma into place. Cook 15 minutes, Varoma, speed 2.
5. Put bbq pork, chicken, bacon/onion/garlic and chopped up omlete eggs in the varoma with vegies to warm up and put varoma into place on the thermomix and cook for 5 minutes, Varoma, speed 2.
6. Once time is up add all cooked ingredients into a large bowl - something that is big enough to give a good mix without spilling out the sides. Add the sauces, salt & pepper and mix well. Serve straight away to enjoy hot.
Tip
Freezes well for handy meals and lunches ready to go.
Add more meats etc to make it a meal.
Serve as a side with your fave Chinese take away dish. We like it with Sweet & Sour pork or Honey Chicken!! Delish!

I used diced bacon which I fried in a fry pan and the omlette made in the same fry pan. I didn't use any chicken or pork (as I didn't have any). Next time I will chop the carrots more finely (were still very crunchy). Very nice, thanks for sharing - family really enjoyed it.
