Ingredients
Jamie Oliver’s Jools’ Favourite Saturday Afternoon Pasta
- 1 --- red onion, peeled & quartered
- 1 --- red chilli
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cans whole tomatoes
- 600 grams Tuna in olive oil, drained
- 1-2 --- lemons, zest and juice
- 500 grams pasta, penne or rigtoni
- 1 pinch sea salt
- --- ground pepper, to season
- --- parmesan cheese grated, to dust, before serving

Cook 500g pasta as per packet instructions.
Chop red onion, chilli, basil and cinnamon, 3 seconds speed 7.
Add 20g olive oil and saute 3 minutes varoma temperature speed 1.
Add tomatoes, tuna and a good pinch of sea salt, cook for 20 minutes at 100 degrees reverse soft speed.
Mix pasta in a bowl with the lemon juice, add the tomato and tuna sauce and mix well. Season with pepper and dust with parmesan cheese!

Very nice but actually better the next day when the lemon flavour really came through. Lovely with lots of grated Parmesan on top!

Really fresh and tasty. Maybe a touch too much cinnamon but great though. Thanks!
This was delicious, however i would personally put a little less cinnamon.
