Ingredients

Chutney

  • 1 clove garlic, large
  • 1 large onion quartered
  • 2 cm ginger
  • 650 g Plums - stoned
  • 75 g dried apricots
  • 6 serrano chilies whole(red), (very hot)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 360 g brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweet sherry, (optional)

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place garlic, onion and ginger into the bowl and chop 3 seconds speed 7. Scrap down sides.

  2. 2. Add plums, apricots and chillies and chop 5 seconds speed 5.


    Scrape down sides

  3. 3. Add sugar, salt and sherry and mix 2 seconds speed 4.

  4. 4. Cook for 15 minutes, 100 C, counter-clockwise operationreverse, speed 2.

  5. 5. Reduce heat and cook for a further 15 minutes, 90 C, counter-clockwise operation reverse, speed 2.

  6. 6. Pour into sterilised glass jars, seal cool and refridgerate.

    I love spicy but I agree next time I will add 1 less chilli but I have to say the sweet of the plum with the chilli is absolutely out of this world. Lovely recipe thank you

    Very tasty, but I only used 4 chilies and it was still a bit hot for our tastebuds. Next time I will try with less chilli, if you love it hot & spicy you will love this chutney.
