I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

Preheat oven to 150c Fan Forced
  1. Place butter, brown sugar, vanilla & golden syrup into TM bowl.

Blend 1 min, Speed 5, MC on

Scrape down sides on bowl,  blend for 1 min, Speed 5, MC on

Add 220 grms flour, blend 20 sec, Speed 6, MC on.

Scrape down sides of bowl, add reamaining 220 grms flour.

Blend 1 min, dough modeDough mode"Dough mode" MC OFF

  2. Measure out in 2 teaspoons and roll into balls. Place on tray lined with non stick baking paper (or cookie sheet) and flatten slightly with a fork, placing 3-4 cms apart to allow room for spreading.

Bake for 17-20 mins or until golden brown.

Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Tip

This will be a stiff dough that will appear crumbly, I find the warmth of my hands is enough to loosen the dough to form smooth rounds. I usually yield 50-60 biscuits per batch but this can vary depending on how you measure out your teaspoons (ie. level or heaped) Just remember to adjust cooking time time slightly if making smaller or larger biscuits.

The recipe can be halved if preferred or if using a TM31

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

These are so easy to make and delicious. I also made them Gluten Free. I added 1 Teaspoon of baking powder but I shall leave it out next time. Might reduce the sugar a bit next time. But otherwise perfect.

cheers thanks for the recipe  Cooking 7
