Ingredients

Caramello Slice

  • 1 package sweet biscuits - Marie or similar, (~250g)
  • 125 g Butter, roughly chopped
  • 220 g block of Cadbury Caramello chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 200 g sweetened condensed milk, (1/2 tin)
  • dessicated coconut, for sprinkling over

Recipe's preparation

    Caramello Slice
  1. Empty the packet of Marie biscuits into the bowl and crush for 6 secs/speed 6. Set aside.

  2. Add butter and caramello chocolate pieces to the empty bowl and melt for 1.5 mins/60 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2.

  3. Add condensed milk and reserved biscuit crumbs and combine 20 sec/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 4. Repeat if necessary.

  4. Press into slice tin and sprinkle with dessicated coconut. Place in fridge to set.

    Made this as a treat for a home bake sale. Used 100's and 1000's instead of coconut on top and doubled the mix so as not to waste any condensed milk. Winner winner.

    This slice will last AGES!! I've never really had to worry about that, but it would last weeks if not a month or two in the fridge, and at least 6 months in the freezer! Hope that helps

    This is very yummy and super easy. I think I might try upping the amount of biscuit next time as mine turned out very fudgy, but that's just a personal preference. And looking forward to trying it out with different chocolate flavours  tmrc_emoticons.D

    Yummy! So moreish & easy to make. You can't stop at one piece. I've made this with peppermint choc replacing caramello. All the different Cadbury flavoured blocks will work, just depends on your flavour preference. Love it! Thanks for sharing.
