Like Tiffany75 I also need to use up bananas and buttermilk. I love bananas but they repeat on me these days and so I don't usually bake with them, but decided to make this recipe. Boy...am I glad I did! I love it..love it...love it. The chocolate disguises the banana taste and it makes such a lovely moist cake. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Suzi
Mmmmmm... very yummy! I just made this cake and it is divine! The kids could barely wait till I took it out of the oven.
Just a quick question: is the sugar you use raw sugar? I assumed it is that's why you have to mill it but just wanted to double check.
Thanks for this great recipe, I will definitely be making it again next time I have old bananas to use up.
Absolutely Delicious! My whole family loves it. I keep having to make 2, one to take with us to wherever we are going and one for home. They eat it as soon as it's out of the oven!!
Yummy recipe! I needed something to use up bananas and buttermilk and your recipe appealed due to its lack of added fat (apart from in the yummy choc bits!). I actually left out the oil (as I didn't have any) and added 10 extra grams of buttermilk and only added 100g of sugar and it worked beautifully. This made 24 mini muffins for the kids and a loaf too! Will definitely make again...thanks!
