Ingredients
- 155 grams Butter, unsalted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 115 grams rolled oats
- 160 grams sultanas
- 75 grams choc chips, dark
- 85 grams Self Raising Flour, wholemeal if prefered
- 110 grams raw sugar
- 45 grams dessicated coconut

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius.
Grease and line a lamington tin (28cm x 18cm).
Place butter and honey into mixing bowl. 3 mins / 80 deg / Speed 2. Once butter has melted, add all other ingredients. 10 sec / "Counter-clockwise operation" / Speed 3.
Press into prepared tin. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden. Cut into bars while hot, remove from tin when cold.

Tip
Substitute sultanas and dark chocolate chips with fruit / chocolate of your choice. Try chopped apricots and white chocolate chips. Or chopped dates and caramel chips.
To fancy them up for special occasions try drizzling chocolate over the bars, or dipping the bases into chocolate.

These are great.
After reading the comments I doubled the honey and left out the sugar all together. Perfectly sweet and much healthier. I did find my choc chips melted, next time I will and add them just before i put in the tin. Thanks for sharing.
The slice was delicious but crumbled everywhere. Luckily I wasn’t making it to take anywhere. I followed the recipe but used dried apricots instead of sultanas
great recipe, the oat bars freeze well too.
OMG, these are amazing, my kids loved them. So easy to make. No more buying bars at the supermarket for us.
Tastes great, mine came out a little crumbly. Cut back on the sugar and used dried fruit and seeds that I had in the cupboard.
This was fantastic. I used it as a base and then bulked it up with other things I replaced 35 grms of sultanas with pepitas, I added 65 grms of chopped dried apricots, I added 10 grms of chia seeds and I reduced the sugar to 70 grms (and I could have reduced it further because the apricots added plenty of sweetness). It tastes AMAZING! So thank you for sharing!
Not good for you, but very tasty. I ended up eating most of it as the kids didn't go for it.
Just out of the oven - yum! Substituted marmalade and a touch of maple syrup for honey, and dates for sultanas, as I didn't have honey or sultanas in my cupboard, and wanted to make this NOW

Made these for the kids- worked a treat!
These were lovely. I didn't have choc chips so added 2 Tbl cocoa so the kids still thought it was a chocolatey treat and added dried cranberries. I used GF flour as we are wheat free and it turned out great. Very quick and easy and great for lunchboxes.
