I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 220 degrees c. and line a oven tray with baking paper.
Chop dates -speed 6/7 for 20 seconds. Set aside. No need to wash bowl.
Place flour and butter in TM bowl and mix for 8-10 seconds on speed 9 until bread crumb consistency.
Add sugar, egg, milk, cream and chopped dates and mix for 5-10 seconds on speed 4 until mixture is combined.
Lightly knead "Dough mode" mixture for 30 seconds.
Pour dough mixture on well floured surface and lightly pat dough into 1-2cm thickness.
NOTE: dough will be quite sticky - this is fine.
Cut into rounds with scone cutter. Place scones touching each other onto oven tray. Glaze with some milk.
Place in oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Cool in a clean tea towel on a wire rack.
Serve warm or cool with butter. Delicious! Enjoy!

These turned out perfectly. I followed the recipe, adding half teaspoon each of cinnamon and allspice.
Delicious! Followed the recipe exactly and cooked in 12 minutes.
Hi there - are these suitable to freeze?
Beautiful! Soaked dates in orange juice first. Strained dates before adding to mixture. Used extra milk instead of cream. Turned out perfectly!
I didn't have any cream so used milk instead. Turned out fine!
