Recipe's preparation

  1.

  2. Biscuit Dough

Place butter, sugar & egg in bowl.  Mix 30 sec Sp 5.

Scrape down bowl.  Mix again 10 sec Sp 5.

Sift flours & cocoa powder together. Place half into bowl.  Mix 7 sec Sp 5.  Place remaining sifted ingredients into bowl.  Mix 7 sec Sp 5.

    Scrape down sides of bowl.

Remove dough from bowl.  Knead into round shape on lightly floured surface until smooth (doesn't take much to do this).

Roll dough between sheets of baking paper until 5 mm thick.  Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to moderate (180 deg C/160 deg fan-forced).  Grease oven trays and line with baking paper.

Using 3 cm, 5 cm and 6.5 cm round cutters, cut 14 rounds from dough using each cutter.  Bake for 10 - 12 minutes.  Cool on wire racks.

    Chocolate Topping

Place dark melts in bowl.  Grate the chocolate 10 sec Sp 9.  Now melt the chocolate.  2 min 50 deg Sp 1.  Scrape down sides of bowl, then melt for a further 1-2 min 50 deg Sp 1, or until melted.

Spread tops of biscuits with chocolate and sprinkle with 100s & 1000s.  Set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Store in fridge in a sealed container or in a sealed container outside of fridge.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
