I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Line slice tray with baking paper - set aside.
Add Macadamia Nut Butter (if making your own, instructions below), brown rice syrup, vanilla extract, agar agar powder and salt to thermomix - 5 Minutes / 90'C / Speed 2.
Add 2 Cups of Rice Bubbles to TMX - 20 Seconds / "Counter-clockwise operation" / Speed "Gentle stir setting" / No Heat, to combine. Once combined, keep TMX running at same speed and pour remaining 2 cups of Rice Bubbles through lid, until all combimed (roughly 40 seconds).
Pour into lined slice tray and press down with spatula. Put a piece of baking paper over the top and flatten well.
Place in fridge until cooled completely and set, then slice into preferred size (I get 16 small bars).
Need:180g Macadamia Nuts
Method:Add Macadamia Nuts to TMX - Speed 9 / 1-2 Minutes until butter consistency is reached, use spatula through lid to help push nuts toward blade.I stopped and scraped down sides twice during the 1.5 minutes it took.
Makes approx. 1/2 Cup Butter.

Oh these would be great! Thank you
I would choose puffed rice over rice bubbles, rice bubbles has added sugar.
Easy and yummy. Used cashew butter and no agar agar. Perfect!
Great recipe. I substituted sunflower seed butter, honey and buckwheat puffs Kids loved them!
These were really easy to make and delicious. I substituted the macadamias for cashews and they were great.
you could make a seed butter (linseed, sunflower, pumpkin etc) and sub with that?
Hi, not sure what I'm missing, but when do we add the vanilla extract? Cheers
These were awesome! As I'm new to the Thermo-World, I was really impressed at how easy these were to make. Can someone suggest what I can use in place of nuts? My daughters' school is 'nut-free'.

Just wondering what would be a good alternative to macadamia butter? Normal butter? I need to be able to make these nut free for school and would love some suggestions. Thanks
Thank for the recipe! I didn't have RMS so substituted with 3/4 cup raw organic honey & 2T water (found liquid sweeteners substitutes guide at foodsubs.com). Also didn't have agar agar so did same as SarGow above & used gelatine. Worked a treat!

Great recipe! Kids had no idea it was sugar free. I didn't have agar agar so used 1/2 tsp of gelatine instead. I also stirred through rainbow choc buds at the last minute and added 20g of cacao powder.
