Wet Ingredients

  • 125 g Butter
  • 1 level tablespoon Golden Syrup, could try Maple Syrup
  • 1 level tablespoon honey

Dry Ingredients

  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 60-70 g Chopped Apricots, could use any dry fruit
  • 90 g rolled oats
  • 45 g Desiccated Coconut
  • 75 g Self Raising Flour
  • 110 g sultanas

Recipe's preparation

    Fruity Coconut Oat Bars
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease and line small rectangular baking tray with baking paper to cover base and extend over 2 opposite sides.
  2. Cut the Dried (or Glace) Apricots into small pieces and set aside.
  3. To soften butter, put 125g into Closed lid"Closed lid" , 40 secs, 50 degrees, sp 4.

    Scrape down.
  4. Add into Closed lid"Closed lid" tablespoon golden syrup and tablespoon of honey then melt and combine 50 degrees for 60 secs, sp 2.

    Scrape down.
  5. Add the chopped Apricots as well as all the other dry ingredients. Closed lid"Closed lid"

    Mix for 10 secs, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" sp 4. Scrape down and mix for further 2 secs, Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" 4 if necessary.
  6. Press mixture evenly into lined baking tray.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Cool in pan and refigerate before cutting. Recipe can be frozen.
  8. Allow to completely cool before slicing.

Try with all different types of dried fruits.
