Describe the preparation steps of your recipe
Add butter and sugar to mixing bowl. Mix 10 sec / speed 2. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing 5 sec / speed 3 after each addition.
In a cup, combine milk and pineapple juice.
With lid on, but without mixing cup, turn on "Gentle stir setting" and alternate adding sifted flour and the juice/milk combination.
Continue mixing for an extra 10 sec / "Gentle stir setting" after last addition to ensure the ingredients are properly combined.
Carefully spread cake batter over the pineapple pieces, ensuring the batter entirely covers the base.
Bake for 1 hour at 180 Degrees.
Allow cake to stand in tin for 5 minutes before turning onto a plate for serving.
ENJOY!

Tip
I have used a 12" round cake tin for this recipe, but you can use whatever size you have handy. If you are using a smaller pan or a loaf tin, check if the cake is cooked after 1 hour by inserting a clean knife or skewer into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, it is cooked. If it comes out dirty, bake for a further 15 mins and re-check.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This cake is horrible I wish I read the comments and I don't no why it's not taken if the community. So people don't waste there money and time, rock hard crumbles dry
The Worst Cake EVER! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
I should have looked at the comments before wasting over an hour of my time not to mention the ingredience that went into making what the maker of this calls a cake. If I could give it a ZERO on the star rating I would but I can't so 1 it is... so dry, it looked like bread dough when making it. I had to add more milk and juice so I could at least be able to attempt to spread it! Do NOT try this cake it's as dry as the Sahara Desert! BIG FAIL!
This was a huge hit at our house and turned out beautifully. I did make some changes to make it gluten and dairy free, I replaced the flour with gluten free self raising flour, used nutlex instead of butter and replaced the milk with water. We loved it, thank you so much to the poster.
Wasn't nice at all batter was so thick once cooked was crumbling everywhere. I wouldn't recommend sorry.
I'm not sure the measurements are correct - we ended up with far too much flour to liquid. I added a little more milk and pineapple juice to achieve a somewhat spreadable consistency - ended up with a pretty crumbly cake that was just "ok". Wouldn't make this again unfortunately
Should there be a time and speed on step7?
maidmarion99:
we found the same
I found that the batter needed a bit more mixing manually with the spatula afterwards.
But the end result was perfect!
maidmarion99:
the batter appeared a bit thick but then once baked it was super fluffy. Perfect!
Really enjoyed this recipe!
