Recipe's preparation

    METHOD
  1. Place almonds, hazelnuts, pepitas, sunflower seeds and dates into mixing bowl.

Chop 8 seconds at speed 9. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl.

Add dessicated coconut, chia seeds, cacao powder, melted coconut oil and frozen raspberries.

Mix 10 seconds at speed 4 on reverse.

Take 1 tablespoon of mixture, form into a ball and coat with extra dessicated coconut. Repeat process until all mixture is used.

Transfer into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator or freezer.

Tip

You may use other types of nuts in this recipe such as macadamia, brazil or cashew nuts.

If you would like these to be nut free you could substitute the nuts for rolled oats and decrease the chopping time in step 2 by two seconds.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I really like these, didn't have pepitas so put in extra sunflower seeds, and also increased raspberries to 100g. Consequently the mixture is wetter so u need to mould the balls in your hand, rather than roll.
    they taste great!

I replaced the nuts with rolled oats to make them lunch box friendly- this made the mixture a bit dry so I added a tablespoon of rice malt syrup to hold the balls together. This recipe is very tasty even without the nuts, will def make again.
