  • 6 eggs
  • 250 grams raw sugar
  • 250 grams soft butter
  • 250 grams self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Icing Sugar to Dust

Recipe's preparation

    Cake Mixture
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (fan forced). Grease baking tin.

     

  2. Mill sugar 3 seconds on speed 9. Add butter and melt for 40 seconds at 50 degrees on speed 4.

  3. Insert Butterfly and cream butter and sugar for 1 minute on speed 3.

  4. Remove measuring cup. Whilst on speed 3, add eggs one at a time through the opening in the lid.

  5. Add vanilla essence and half of the flour (125g) and mix for 15 seconds on speed 3. Use spatula to scrape mixture down.  Add remaining flour and mix again for another 15 seconds on speed 3

  6. Pour mixture into cake tin and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the skewer is clean. 

    Allow to cool before turning the cake out of the tin. Decorate with icing sugar or your favourite icing.

Tip

 

Variations

Chocolate- Replace 3 tablespoons of self-raising flour with 3 tablespoons of cocoa.

Cupcakes- Bake for 20 minutes instead.
